Spring is just around the corner, and I couldn’t be more excited! This winter in the UK has felt particularly long, with its endless grey skies and chilly mornings, making the arrival of warmer, sunny days feel even more refreshing. I’m eager to part with the heavy layers and embrace lighter outerwear—trench coats, jackets, and light knits that make dressing for the season effortless. More than anything, I can’t wait to finally part with my thermals until next year and enjoy the freedom of dressing without so many layers. There’s something so refreshing and inspiring about the transition to spring fashion, and I’m ready to welcome it with open arms!

Capsule Wardrobe Planning – Finding Inspiration
My Spring mood board for 2024 is all about light layers—think open button-ups, striped polo shirts, and leather or suede jackets. Olive green and burgundy are two winter colors I’ll carry into the new season, but I’m also drawn to the fresh combination of butter yellow and rich chocolate brown. I’m considering adding a piece or accessory in this color palette to my wardrobe. If, like me, you have a neutral wardrobe but want to introduce a pop of color, a printed triangle scarf is a great option. It’s an easy way to elevate an outfit, and you can often find unique ones in thrift stores, adding a personal touch to your look.

Spring Capsule New Additions
My spring capsule wardrobe features five new additions I cannot wait to incorporate into my outfits. During the winter months, I picked up two knitwear pieces—a cozy olive green crewneck jumper and a classic brown crewneck cardigan—that will transition seamlessly into spring. More recently, I added three lighter pieces: a striped button-up, a soft chocolate brown turtleneck, and a striped polo shirt. Each of these items is incredibly versatile, allowing me to mix and match effortlessly while keeping my wardrobe fresh and cohesive for the new season.
